Brandon Bertelsen, B.S.
Brandon was born and raised in Washington State always living close to the Cascade Mountains. After moving to Salt Lake City, Utah in 2012 he now calls it home. Brandon is currently studying at the University of Utah and soon will have a BS in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism with an honors degree. His emphasis in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism is Adventure and Outdoor Programming and his unofficial emphasis for his honors degree is creative writing. Brandon began working for MED in 2015 and is an instructor focused on wilderness medicine but is broadening his skill-set to include technical instruction. His passions include climbing mountains, year-round backpacking, and whitewater rafting and kayaking with friends, family, and students. When he is not out and about in the mountains he can be found napping, cooking, playing his guitar, reading on his front porch, but more often than not planning his next adventure. He believes outdoor adventures through recreation, education, development, and/or therapy offer incredible benefits for each person living on our lovely planet we call Earth.
