Girls day out! This five hour workshop is designed for women of varying ability levels to build and expand on technical skills. Whether you have never placed gear, built anchors or simply just need a refresher and want to become more efficient, we create a fun learning atmosphere taught by an AMGA certified climbing instructor designed to help you learn new tips and tricks! Topics covered are rock quality assessment, placement of passive and active gear, traditional and sport climbing anchors, building anchors off natural objects such as trees and boulders, and rope management techniques. Remember, this is YOUR workshop and is designed to easily tailor material to your learning style and fit in with your climbing progression.
-Experienced AMGA Climbing Instructor (Female)
-Climbing harness (fully featured, padded & sized)
-Rock climbing shoes
-Belay device & locking carabiner
-Additional personal climbing gear as needed (e.g. cord set, quick draws, traditional protection, etc.)
-Group climbing equipment (e.g. rope, anchor materials, etc.)
