About Cody

Cody grew up in Utah and lives in Salt Lake City so that he can have quick access to the mountains and the desert. Cody graduated from the University of Utah with a BS in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism, and he has worked with MED since 2013. He works for MED as an Senior Instructor, and specializes in teaching wilderness medicine, rock climbing, ice climbing, and backcountry snowboarding. When Cody is not working, he likes to find opportunities to travel, climb, and snowboard whenever possible. Cody has a passion and enthusiasm for sharing his stories and knowledge with others, and believes that one of the most important things we can learn is how to appreciate each other and the world around us. One of his primary goals during each course he teaches is to help others learn how the outdoors can help them live a happy healthy life.
