The MED Wilderness First Responder (WFR) Course makes use of lecture and practical-based learning both in and outside of the classroom. The concepts and skills taught in this course will help the student prepare for a broad range of medical-related situations associated with work and recreational activities in a wilderness context. This course is minimally 72 hours in length and represents a standard of professional medical training accepted internationally throughout the outdoor recreation industry. 

Upon fulfillment of all course requirements, the student is presented with a Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certification valid for two years. This includes a two year certification for Adult and Child Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use.
